The Rotary Club of Belmont is the local Rotary club for the Town of Belmont, Massachusetts. The Rotary Club of Belmont is a member of Rotary District 7930 and Rotary International. As part of District 7930, the Rotary Club of Belmont is proud to be a pilot member of the Future Vision Plan for the second century of the Rotary Foundation.

Rotary is a secular, non-political organization open to all persons regardless of race, color, creed, gender, or political preference. The traditional mottos of Rotary are Service above self and They profit most who serve best. There are more than 32,000 clubs worldwide, with over 1.2 million members.

The Rotary Club of Belmont, like most Rotary clubs, participates in both local service projects, such as helping to raise money for the Belmont Food Pantry and college scholarships for Belmont high school students, as well as international or global projects, such as raising money and providing tents for victims of the 2011 tsunami in Japan or the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, providing a schoolbus for children in Kenya, classroom equipment for schools in India, and the global eradication of the polio virus.

  • Spaghetti Dinner college scholarship fundraiser - 3/16, Beech Street Center
  • The club raised more than $500 from our yard sale. The proceeds will be sent to the PolioPlus campaign to eradicate the polio virus.
  • The club raised approximately $600 for Belmont High School scholarships at our spaghetti dinner at the Beech Street Center on 10/14/2011.
  • Visit from the District Governor on August 30th, 2011.
  • The club approved adoption of a new constitution and bylaws on August 16, 2011.
  • Belmont resident and club member Subbiah Doraiswami was installed as District Governor for Rotary District 7930 on June 29th, 2011.
  • We raised hundreds of dollars for our college scholarship fund at Town Day on 5/21/2011
  • We raised hundreds of dollars to assist victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan at our Spaghetti Dinner on April 29th, 2011
  • We raised approximately $600 for college scholarships for Belmont High students at our pancake breakfast at the Beech Street Center on Saturday, February 12th, 2011
